As well as people clicking on ads, if they click through links you setup within your posts/content, and they buy (sometimes over 90-120 days), you make commissions. I make a lot of money on Google by placing Google ads where browsers go straight to the website you are promoting.

There are tons of ways to market. You can turn your blog posts into articles and upload them on article directories, with links back to sites you promote. Tons of ways, books of ways.
